I love the film. I love the characters, the concept, and aesthetics. Most comments I've read says the same thing: that they don't like the ending. Most people were asking for more screentime. Like a grand reunion or something. But I love the ending Makoto Shinkai provided for the film. I think it's the best way to end it. When both asks, "Your name is?" and the scene shifts to the sky with a good background music, I found it really wonderful. You know sometimes, words aren't enough. I like the display of raw emotion. But that's just me. Although there are loopholes in the story, I'm not really disappointed. Everybody shouldnot know that every story has loopholes. That can't be helped. Going back, I think some didn't like the ending because we're too used with the idea of having the usual I'm-delivering-a-pretty-long-speech-that-will-make-you-cry-and-we'll-probably-hug-or-something ending. I think Makoto Shinkai just dares to veer from these conventions in his works. No hate just love. :))

It was certainly an excellent movie, I enjoyed it too much. but to be honest I hadn’t thought about the time haha I mean "Anime Isanity" you’re right, they must have seen the date but they didn’t, well I guess it had to be like that or maybe the makers just forgot about that. But even though it has some details, it’s still a great movie from the super director Makoto Shinkai.
